“The American people will never knowingly adopt Socialism. But under the name of ‘liberalism’ they will adopt every fragment of the Socialist program, until one day America will be a Socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.”

You can't outrun the long arm of the Internet

The artist now known as Prince or whatever he's going by this week, is famously hostile to the Internet and the misuse of music that the ubiquitous, digital format allows....

Prince has taken his war against the Internet one step further by shutting down his official website. His battle began in 2007 when he famously announced his intention to file lawsuits against eBay, YouTube and the Pirate Bay for the misuse of his music. Ever since he has banned such sites from using his music in any fashion and refused to work with legal paid-for options like iTunes, 7Digital or eMusic.

His new album is his 27th release and may be distributed via Warner Brothers in the US – but there will be no downloads available in the world.

Correction! There will be free downloads available in the world approximately 5 minutes after the first CD gets sold. It'll be anonymously copied and uploaded to any one of a hundred illegal music distribution sites on the Internet for anybody to grab. You can't beat the Internet or defeat the criminal geniuses who can strip music from any mode and distribute it free world wide in mere seconds.
